실로 어마어마한 일이다 Something So Incredible .
Group Exhibition
Gyeongnam Art Museum (Korea)
03-06.2025

An exhibition Celebrating 100 Years of Immigration History in the Gyeongnam Region.
This exhibition explores a century of immigration history in South Korea’s Gyeongnam region. At its center, seven international artists showcase their works, alongside extensive historical research collecting the testimonies of immigrants about life in a new environment.
Today, South Korea is moving away from being a country with few immigrants. With the rapid increase of this wave of migration, the duty of living together resonates with the poem Visitor by Jeong Hyunjong:
"The arrival of a person
Is, in fact, something incredible
They come
With their past,
Present,
And
Their future.
It is the life of one person that arrives."
Ha Cha Youn presents the video Balade de Carola, which follows a plastik bag’s journey through the streets of Paris, filmed in 2006 and edited in 2008.
As part of the exhibition, Ha Cha Youn also presents the collective performance Von 1960 bis 2080 (1989), created with multiple participants, along with a presentation of a selection of her works from the same period.
